Healthy Habit 4 – Embrace Meatless Days

 

Even if you are a passionate carnivore, it is a good idea to trade in your chicken or tenderloin for tofu or other meat substitutes on occasion. Not only are there environmental benefits to consuming more plant-based foods, but vegetarian eating can also help trim the waistline and increase intakes of the fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that are vital for good health. It also offers a chance to try out some new foods as you adhere to healthy habits.
