Aerobics and Strength Training
Aerobics interfere with strength workouts. Many people do aerobics and strength exercises in the same workout. Physical fitness includes components such as cardiovascular endurance, strength, power, muscle size, muscle endurance and body composition. Emphasizing one component can interfere with the development of the others. Doing 45 minutes of aerobics at 75 percent effort before squats decreases performance in the squats compared to doing squats alone. Pre-weight training aerobics has no effect on bench press performance. Design fitness programs according to your goals.
