These moves will have you up to speed on which moves target which areas of the abs. You can put these three sample workouts to good use or get to work on your own custom-built program.

Advanced Ab Routine:

  • Bicycle Crunch – 3 to 4 sets for 1 minute
  • One Arm Dumbbell Sit Up – 3 sets of 12 reps
  • Pallof Press – 3 sets for 10 feet
  • Toes to Bar – 3 sets to failure

Lower Ab Focus:

  • Double Crunch – 3 sets of 20 to 30 reps
  • TRX Knee Tuck – 3 sets of 10 to 15 reps
  • Dragon Fly – 3 sets of 10 to 12 (or failure)

General Ab Conditioning:

  • Medicine Ball walkover – 4 sets of 1 minute
  • Medicine ball Toss Sit Up – 4 sets of 10 to 15 reps
  • Cable Woodchopper – 3 sets of 12 reps per sidesemi crunch 1
