Pulley Power – Incline Cable Flye

Versatility. Convenience. Constant tension on each rep of every set. What’s not to love about the ubiquitous cable crossover station? Here’s a unique pulley exercise – one you are probably not doing – to make you love this do-it-all machine even more.

Target: Chest

  • Center an adjustable bench set to approximately a 30 degree incline in a cable crossover station. Adjust the pulleys on both sides to the lowest positions and attach a D-Handle to each.
  • Grasp the handles and lie back on the bench. Start with your arms out to your sides, elbows slightly bent. (Your shoulders should be in line with the pulleys; if they are not, move the bench forward or back accordingly.)
  • Maintaining the slight bend in your elbows, contract your pecs topull your hands together over your upper chest. Squeeze the contraction for a count, then slowly lower back to the start position so you feel a stretch in the pecs.

Target your upper pecs more effectively with this constant-tension gem.
