Blackened Tilapia


  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • ½ tsp. chili powder
  • ½ tsp. dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. cumin
  • Dash cayenne pepper
  • 2 5 oz. tilapia filets
  • Nonstick pan spray


  1. Combine all seasoning in a small bowl.
  2. Sprinkle one side of the fish with the spice mixture, rubbing evenly, then flip it over and repeat on the other side.
  3. Heat a medium skillet over medium-high and cook the filets on each side until flaky on the inside, approximately three minutes per side. Serve immediately.
