Vanilla Almond Power Oats


  • 2/3 cup steel-cut oats
  • 2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 1 ounce raisins
  • Cinnamon to taste
  • 1 scoop whey protein (optional)

Place the steel-cut oats in a medium-sized bowl. Fill with enough water so that oats are covered by about 1 mm. Microwave for one to two minutes, until oats are cooked to desired consistency. Add 1 scoop of whey protein (optional). Stir until powder is dissolved, then mix in the almond butter. Microwave for an additional 20 seconds. Stir in raisins. Add cinnamon to taste.
