Baked Cinnamon-Maple Apples



  • 4 large apples (Pink Lady or Golden Delicious)
  • ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp. pure maple syrup
  • ¼ cup walnuts, chopped
  • ¼ cup heavy whipping cream


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Working from the top of each apple, scoop out the core, leaving a well. Do not cut all the way to the bottom. In a small bowl, combine the cinnamon, maple syrup, and walnuts. Spoon equal amounts of the mixture into the cavity of each apple.
  • Place apples on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until tender when prodded with a knife tip. Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Whip the cream. To serve, top each apple with a dollop of whipped cream.
